NACS Show 2006 Delivers Ideas 2 Go
October 11, 2006

LAS VEGAS – NACS Show 2006 attendees took a video store tour spanning four countries and eight states this morning at the Ideas 2 Go 2006 General Session.

The Ideas 2 Go General Session was the third of three business-related sessions during today's Business Strategy Day and is an outgrowth of what Ideas 2 Go has been at previous NACS Shows – the only General Session at the Show that focuses exclusively on the convenience and petroleum retailing channel. NACS Daily will provide coverage of other sessions in coming days.

The acclaimed Ideas 2 Go video presentation first debuted at the NACS Show in 1994 and has evolved significantly over the years. The fast-paced tour not only includes interviews from nearly two dozen companies, ranging from single-store operators to the world's largest retailers, but also from customers themselves who share what they expect from their favorite convenience store.

"I think you will find that it is a fascinating mix, and one that will provide both immediate takeaways and food for thought in meetings with your leadership teams," said NACS treasurer Richard Oneslager, CEO of Balmar Petroleum (Denver, Colo.) while introducing Ideas 2 Go 2006.

In addition, the presentation featured a special segment on retailing in Europe and provided attendees with "a glimpse at how several leading retailers have mastered the subtle science of merchandising and presentation," noted NACS 2005-2006 Chairman Scott Hartman, president of Rutter's Farms Stores (York, Penn.).

Subscribers to the NACS Magazine will receive a copy of the Ideas 2 Go 2006 DVD with the December 2006 issue.

The NACS Show 2006 concludes today. The NACS Show 2007 will take place November 6 to 9 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
