PHILADELPHIA – Peanut Chews candy first hit store shelve in 1917. Since going national in the spring of 2005, the iconic candy is now available at retail locations in all 50 states and in more than 12 international markets.
Peanut Chews maker Just Born Inc. announced on May 30 that the candy is now available in retail locations such as 7-Eleven and Kmart and will reach consumers at Target stores in October. Just Born Inc. also announced that advertisements for the brand are hitting the airwaves.
“We are thrilled to have Peanut Chews on-shelf in more national retail chains like 7-Eleven and Kmart,” said Peanut Chews Brand Manager Donald Houston. “In support of these national retailers we will air our tagged Peanut Chews TV spot which illustrates an outrageous individuality. The ad, while humorous, also conveys the unique attributes of the brand including the appealing bite-size pieces going into the vibrant new packaging.”
Just Born Inc., based in Bethlehem, Pa., manufactures candy products sold at many U.S. convenience stores such as Peeps, Hot Tamales, Mike and Ike and Zours. The company also exports its candies to more than 50 countries.
