ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- On Friday, May 5, the time period for accepting NACS Yates Scholarship applications will close.

NACS is awarding 10 one-year scholarships in the amount of $3,000 to retail member company employees. Scholarship recipients will also receive a trip to the NACS Show 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 8 to11, which includes travel, lodging and registration.

The Yates Scholarship was created in memory of Jim Yates, founder of E-Z Mart Stores, and aims to develop young employees who demonstrate the ability and ambition to further pursue a career in the convenience store industry.
