WILLISTON, N.D. -- North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem confirmed a $1 million Powerball ticket was sold at a Williston Kum & Go convenience store, marking the largest lottery prize in state history, reports the Associated Press.
The lucky winner, who remained anonymous at press time, matched the first five of the six Powerball numbers and purchased the PowerPlay option, which boosted the prize from $200,000 to $1 million.
The Kum & Go store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
