LYONS, OH -- Lottery winners sure do take their time claiming millions of dollars.
Much like the record Powerball jackpot, another mystery looms over who will step forward to claim the $267 million Mega Millions jackpot. What is known, however, is where the lucky ticket was sold: Lyons Main Stop convenience store in Lyons, Ohio--a town of about 500 people.
"It's not the littlest town in Ohio, but darn near," Jeff Erb, general manager of Saneholtz-McKarns Inc., which owns the convenience store, told ABC News. Lyons Main Stop sells a lot of lottery tickets, according to Erb, because it's located on a busy road and only a few miles from the Michigan state line, which does not participate in the multi-state game.
The news source notes that lottery officials indicated the winner will be the seventh Mega Millions winner in Ohio.
