TAMPA, Fla. – Customers of Tampa, Fla.-based Coast to Coast convenience stores have the option to pay with the touch of a finger.
According to a press release, the Florida convenience store is the first in the state to offer Pay By Touch’s biometrics payment option. Coast to Coast is a new convenience store that opened its first location in Tampa with future locations in the works, notes the company’s Web site.
“Coast to Coast’s unique convenience center concept, located at the corner of Florida and Bearss Avenue, is a great fit for incorporating biometric payments, and we are excited to be the first Tampa retailer to give our customers the convenience and security of paying with the touch of a finger,” said Coast to Coast President Amer Hawatmeh.
Customers who enroll to use the biometrics service at Coast to Coast receive a free car wash with their first gasoline purchase, and on return visits, they can receive free chips and a fountain drink with a deli meal purchase.
“Paying with the touch of a finger is a win-win for consumers and merchants,” said John Rogers, founder, chairman and CEO of Pay By Touch. “Shoppers can conveniently and securely make purchases with the confidence that their personal information remains secure before, during, and after the transaction.”
