TEXARKANA, TEXAS – Participants of the 16th Annual Jim Yates Memorial Classic are teeing up today at the Texarkana Country Club to help raise money for various charitable causes supported by convenience retailer E-Z Mart Stores Inc.

The event is expected to raise about $140,000 from approximately 250 players, including E-Z Mart’s business partners, vendor representatives and individuals from E-Z Mart’s management team. Money raised during the tournament will benefit charities including the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation and Easter Seals.

Since the event’s inception in 1990, named after the late Jim Yates, E-Z Mart founder and former NACS chairman, more than $1.2 million has been donated to charitable organizations.
