Fed Up with Outrageous Credit Card Fees? Tell Congress!
July 17, 2007

WASHINGTON – With the House Judiciary Committee's Antitrust Task Force holding a hearing in two days to examine the impact of interchange fees on consumers and businesses, NACS is encouraging members to write to their members of Congress in support of the hearing.

"Please take a minute to send a letter to your representative asking him or her to support the efforts of this hearing and examine the practices of the credit card companies," said NACS Senior Vice President of Government Relations Lyle Beckwith. "Even if your representative is not a member of the Antitrust Task Force, it is still important that they hear from you."

To start the letter writing process, click here and key in your ZIP code. Your representative's name and address along with the letter will appear. You will be able to edit and personalize the letter, then send it directly to your representative via e-mail.

NACS will continue to provide details on the hearing in NACS Daily. The hearing is expected to be webcast through the House Judiciary Committee's Web site.
