DALLAS – Convenience retailer 7-Eleven has teamed with AOL to launch a new interactive Web site dedicated to the Slurpee.
The Web site coincides with the retailer’s “Now That’s Cold” advertising campaign for its popular carbonated frozen beverage. The site features games, gear, prizes, polls and coupons, as well as updates on new Slurpee flavors, such as the recently launched Purple S'creme.
According to a press release, codes found on specially marked Slurpee cups will allow users to access special features located on the Web site, such as contests, prizes and points for redeeming merchandise.
“Slurpee drink lovers live life on the edge,” said Debbie Wildrick, 7-Eleven product director for Vault and proprietary beverages, adding, “Besides exclusive Slurpee gear, the new site brings the latest music, action sports, entertainment and gaming to our customers with chances to win and play.”
