GLENNVILLE, Ga. – On May 11, convenience retailer Clyde’s Market of Glennville, Georgia, hosted a charity golf tournament to help raise funds for service men, women and their families stationed at Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Field.
On May 31, during a ceremony at Ft. Stewart, Clyde’s Market Vice President Greg Woolard and Angie Woolard presented a check for $40,500 to 3rd Infantry Division Commanding General William G. Webster Jr.
“This is a small token of what we can and should be doing for you,” Woolard commented during the ceremony, adding, “It’s ironic that Clyde’s Market was honored by the 3rd Infantry Division for this contribution when you consider what the 3rd Infantry Division and Ft. Stewart has done for us and the nation.”
Major General Webster noted that the Woolard family continues to be “a key part" of the local community.
