ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Three members of the "Build Team" for the popular television show MythBusters will serve at Closing General Session speakers for NACStech, which will take place May 5 to 7, 2008, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center located just outside of Dallas.

Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara will examine some industry-related myths and discuss the science behind whether they are real or fiction. In its 100 episodes, the Discovery Channel television program has examined a variety of topics, from whether various movie stunts can be replicated to industry-related topics, including whether cell phones can cause fires at the gasoline pump or the fastest way to chill a six-pack.

Each of the three came to the Mythbusters team with impressive backgrounds. Bellici was part of the special effects group that developed models for the most recent Star Wars trilogy, as well as a number of other films, including the three Matrix movies; Byron is an acclaimed artist best known for her sculptures; and Imahara specializes in electronics and radio control and has been involved in movies including Jurassic Park – The Lost World, Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines and the most recent Star Wars trilogy – he is one of only three official R2-D2 operators in the United States.

Approximately 1,500 attendees are expected at NACStech, which will feature more than 100 exhibitors. Registration is now available at www.nacstech.com.

The MythBusters team will deliver their NACStech Closing General Session presentation at 12:45 p.m. on May 7.
