ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Speakers headlining the general sessions and early riser session have been confirmed for NACStech 2006, which will take place May 22 to 24 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
NACStech is the most comprehensive technology event for the convenience and petroleum retailing industry. NACStech 2005 drew 1,443 total attendees, second only to attendance totals from the 2001 event. Additionally, NACStech 2005 had the largest expo on record, attracting 121 companies and covering 20,400 net square feet.
NACStech 2006 will kick off with an opening general session address by author and consultant Anthony Galie; lecturer and author Jan Hargrave will headline the early riser session; and futurist Dan Hopping will wrap-up the three-day event as the closing general session speaker.
On Monday, May 22 at 4:00 pm, Galie's presentation, "How to Get and Stay Focused on Goals," will teach attendees how to imbed goals in their everyday business practices.
The next day, May 23, Hargrave will lead the 7:30 am early riser session, exploring how attendees can communicate with their customers and colleagues by understanding the key elements of nonverbal communications, commonly referred to as "body language." Hargrave will show that there is a method--and a style--to successfully communicating without uttering a word. Breakfast will be served during the session.
NACStech 2006 will conclude on Wednesday, May 24 at 12:30 pm with the closing general session featuring Hopping's "Emerging Trends in Retail" presentation, which will focus on research projects that could significantly change today's store operations, as well as lead to potential new retail business models, out-tasking, retail metrics, knowledge management, new payment methods, customer loyalty and more.
"Our general sessions and early riser session are sure to help attendees get motivated and excited about their businesses and personal lives, as well as provide access to bright ideas about a wide variety of topics from how to improve interpersonal skills to where technology is taking us tomorrow," said NACStech 2006 Chairman Don Stephenson, president of Cary Oil Company in Cary, North Carolina.
"Each of these speakers has demonstrated that they can inspire others to set the bar high and accomplish their goals. We're very pleased that they are able to participate at NACStech," added Stephenson.
