FuelQuest Adopts PCATS-NAXML Industry Standard

HOUSTON, TX -- FuelQuest Inc., provider of web-based supply chain management and tax automation technologies, recently announced that is has successfully deployed the PCATS-NAXML standard, the industry standard maintained by the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS).

Utilizing PCATS-NAXML standards, FuelQuest is able to integrate its Fuel Management System (FMS) with various software packages commonly used by many motor fuel carriers.

FuelQuest CEO Rich Cilento commented in a press release, “FuelQuest made a strong commitment to develop this interface using PCATS-NAXML in order to benefit the entire fuel value chain…This is a key component of our commitment to lower our customers’ costs and improve their efficiencies.”

This integration also reduces processing time and minimizes errors during fuel invoice and delivery reconciliation, as well as freight settlement.

Dupre Transport Executive Vice President and COO Tom Voelkel said that by employing the FuelQuest interface, his company realized an opportunity to lead the motor fuels industry in streamlining the supply chain.

“This new level of integration will enable our mutual customers’ unprecedented accuracy and speed in completing fuel delivery transactions which will have immediate impacts on their bottom line,” said Voelkel.

John Hervey, executive director of PCATS, added, “We continue to see increased adoption of PCATS-NAXML as vendors recognize the benefits of common protocols such as lower development time and reduced information technology maintenance costs.
