OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- On Saturday, Jan. 14, the Powerball drawing took place at the International Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City to celebrate Oklahoma's entry into the multi-state lottery game, reports the Associated Press.
Prior to Saturday's drawing, writes the AP, more than $1.68 million worth of Powerball tickets were sold in Oklahoma, adding that Saturday's drawing was first drawing where tickets sold in Oklahoma were eligible to win.
Meanwhile, a grand prize Illinois Lottery ticket work $20 million remains unclaimed. The ticket was sold on Saturday at a downtown Chicago convenience store.
