FORT ATKINSON, WI -- Convenience store and vending machine sandwich manufacturer Deli Express announced last week that the company has raised $72,776 through its “Hungry to Help” campaign. All proceeds will go to the National Military Family Association (NMFA), an organization that provides services to military families through education, information and advocacy efforts.
Deli Express created the “Hungry to Help” campaign to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the family-owned sandwich company, writes AMonline.com, adding of the total amount raised, $22,776 was donated by contributions from 37 Deli Express supplier and retail partners.
“We are thrilled at the success of the ‘Hungry to Help’ campaign,” Thomas E. Sween, chairman and CEO of Deli Express, told the news source, adding, “We are so appreciative at the involvement of our suppliers, retailers and customers. Because of this campaign, the sons, daughters, wives and husbands of our soldiers will continue to get the support they need as their loved ones serve our country.”
“Our ability to assist the lives of military families would not be possible without organization like Deli Express,” NMVA Chairwoman and CEO Tanna Schmidli told the news source. “We are so appreciative for the generous support Deli Express has shown us through the Hungry to Help campaign.”
Last year, Deli Express raised $50,000 through its “Hungry to Help” campaign and presented a check to the NMFA at the NACS SHOW 2005 in Las Vegas.
