PCATS to Host Winter Meeting in January 2008
December 26, 2007

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – PCATS’s 5th annual winter meeting will be held January 21-24 at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando. Join more than 160 retailer and supplier members to openly discuss industry challenges and to learn about the latest industry technology standards development and implementation efforts underway.

Several general sessions and working group opportunities are scheduled throughout the meeting. The PCATS Business and Technical committee meetings also will meet during the gathering. For more information, visit the PCATS Web site at www.pcats.org.

Meanwhile, PCATS has announced the winners of six Vizio 37-inch LCD HDTVs, valued at more than $600, and six Zenith DVD Players. The final six winners were selected during a drawing conducted on November 9 during the NACS Show, held in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The six winners of the HDTVs were Lamar Frady of Mountain Express Oil Co., Bruce Heap of Mike’s Market, Susan Kleve of Kleve Enterprises Inc., Dan O’Neill of Kwik Stop, Avery Wagon of Cary Oil Co and Kraig Adams of The Coca-Cola Company. The DVD winners include Pamela Corba of Inline Plastics, Craig Fisher of Solid Innovation, Casey Gay of Town & Country Food Stores, Michael Joling of Brass Ball Mobil, Brian Printup of SavOn Convenience Stores and Bill Wade of Adirondack Gateway.

PCATS prizes were part of a FuelLinks loyalty program, created by Metrosplash, at the Open for Business (OFB) Pavilion. In order to quality, an OFB visitor had to obtain a FuelLinks® reward card, tour the Pavilion and go to a minimum of six OFB sponsor booths where their card would be swiped and exhibit visits tracked. Once the requirements were met, a conference attendee was automatically qualified for a chance to win a PCATS prize.

“We at MetroSplash congratulate the winners and thank everyone for their participation,” said MetroSplash Senior Vice President Tom Oare. “We especially appreciate the opportunity provided by PCATS to introduce the FuelLinks program to so many members of the industry.”
