FAIRBURN, Georgia – More than a thousand underprivileged children will wake up Christmas morning with toys instead of empty stockings, thanks to the efforts of Geo. H. Green Oil Inc.
The five-store convenience store chain (dba Greenway Stores) and distributor announced that it had raised $30,000 in less than a month to assist several local charities, far surpassing its goal of $25,000.
“Through the outstanding efforts of the Greenway Stores’ office employees and the exceptional vendor and customer support, some 1,400 underprivileged children will wake up Christmas morning having been visited by Santa and Atlanta’s Empty Stocking organization,” said Green Oil’s Marketing Director Jim Callahan. “We are so proud and grateful for the efforts and success of each and every member of our team. They exceeded a goal that we thought would be extremely difficult to achieve.”
Other charities benefiting from the company’s fundraising efforts are the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the women’s shelter Welcome House and the In His Great Name Ministry.
