March Networks Wins Deal with Convenience Store Chain
December 13, 2007

CANADA -- March Networks said Speedway SuperAmerica LLC has chosen its retail business analytics software and professional services for use in its approximately 1,600 gasoline convenience stores.

The Ottawa-based digital surveillance solutions maker said the U.S. chain had standardized on the March Networks LP Data Mining to identify and investigate fraudulent activity and reduce theft, following a successful pilot program in 200 stores, the Ottawa Business Journal reports.

The software includes customizable point-of-sale transaction profiling, digital video integration, investigation and reporting tools, and features such as prepaid fuel reports and drawer alarm alerts.

Speedway SuperAmerica is also using March Networks’ professional services at all of its locations, which include regular software diagnostics and updates managed remotely by March Networks specialists.

"March Networks has developed a broad portfolio of data mining and video management solutions that support more effective operational control across a variety of retail formats," said CEO Peter Strom in a statement. "We are pleased to add Speedway SuperAmerica to the growing list of major retailers that have chosen our industry-leading solutions for loss prevention and risk management."

The software is expected to be deployed across all of Speedway SuperAmerica’s stores by the end of 2007.
