ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Registration is now under way for the 2007 NACS Leadership Challenge, the industry’s premier leadership development program for district managers and supervisors. The event takes place April 1 to 6, 2007, in Paradise, Texas, at the Garrett Creek Ranch.
The NACS Leadership Challenge is designed to help participants discover personal leadership strengths and weaknesses; develop skills to help store mangers create profitable, performance-oriented environments; and learn from exceptional instructors and high performance peers.
The program, facilitated by the Glen Douglas Group, features five days of intensive classroom instruction, six months of online support and coaching, and a one-day follow up program at the NACS Show 2007 in Atlanta, during which Challenge graduates will be recognized at a special presentation.
“I came away with an increased awareness of how people respond to me and my management style,” said Cathy Sides, Zone Manager of E-Z Mart Stores Inc. in Texarkana, Texas. “I found I was lacking in recognizing employees for something as simple as a job well done. I now make a conscience effort to commend someone for having a clean store or for good customer service or whatever else I observe when I am in the stores. It takes very little time and no money to let someone know you appreciate them.”
Registration is limited to convenience retailers. Visit NACS Online to register or contact NACS Retail Membership Services Coordinator Erin Mitchell at emitchell@nacsonline.com or (703) 518-4241.
