IRVING, Texas – BP is testing and is expected to sign a deal for a system-wide deal for the customer loyalty program that would give the company rights to future market rollouts, according to the industry trade publication Oil Express.

Customers using the fuelperks! program typically earn a 5 cents-per-gallon discount on their fill-up for every $50 they spend inside the store. A number of grocery chains across the country currently use the program, including Roundy’s Supermarkets, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie and Ukrops, often partnering with local gas stations or convenience stores. Giant Eagle also uses the program with its GetGo stores, and the program was featured in NACS’ Ideas 2 Go 2004.

According to Oil Express, Irving, Texas-based Excentus, the provider of the fuelperks! rewards program, will give BP the rights to future markets in its 32-state system. BP confirmed with Oil Express that it is testing the program but did not provide further comment.
