KANSAS CITY, KS – Convenience store chain QuikTrip is offering free services to its Kansas City area employees with its second health clinic, reports the Kansas City Star.

The first QuikTrip clinic, located at QuikTrip headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma, opened two years ago and serves about 400 employees. The new Kansas City location is open Monday through Friday and is staffed by a certified physician and Care ATC employees. Care ATC, a national provider of on-site medical clinics, administers both facilities.

“The clinics allow us to approach our employees’ health proactively to improve it while controlling costs,” said Walter Smith, benefits and casualty claims manager for QuikTrip Corp. “The clinics are a win-win for us and for our employees.”

Paul Keeling, Care ATC’s director of sales, told The Journal Record that a Care ATC on-site clinic requires a $10,000 to $20,000 initial investment by an employer, and monthly costs vary with the employer's size and the size of medical staff required.
