NACS Supplier Committee Interest
Involvement in a committee allows you to help NACS support the retailer industry and gives you the opportunity to meet and grow relationships with your peers, from other supplier members as well as the retail liaisons to the supplier committees. Only those serving on NACS committees will be considered for serving on the NACS Supplier Board.
A voluntary post, involvement includes 2 meetings per year (travel and hotel expenses are not reimbursed) and some of your time commitment throughout the year on committee conference calls and committee worktime.
The following are the supplier-related committees:
Membership/Communications Committee
Provides strategic direction for supplier membership outreach, recruitment and retention plans and communications.
NACS liaison:
Matt Danzig (mdanzig@nacsonline.com) - Seva Raskin (sraskin@nacsonline.com)
Exhibitor Advisory Committee
Fosters communication between the exhibitors, the official service contractor and show management at NACS and manages the Booth Buddy and Exhibitor Success Programs.
NACS liaison:
Leigh Walls (lwalls@nacsonline.com)
Manpower Committee
Executes the Round Up Volunteer program at The NACS Show. Round-up is a group of supplier company volunteers who provide assistance and guidance to NACS Show attendees. It provides a great way of giving suppliers the opportunity to get involved in the show process outside of their exhibit booth and offers additional exposure to meet and greet the industry leaders and decision makers on the show floor.
NACS liaison:
Annette Kramer (akramer@nacsonline.com)
NACSPAC Committee
Supports the NACSPAC retail committee by assisting in raising money for the PAC through the live auction at the NACS Show and supporting individual hard dollar fund raising.
NACS liaison:
Myra Gravois (mgravois@nacsonline.com)
Research Committee
Charged with compiling and interpreting industry metrics, establishing benchmarks, trend analysis, category definitions and other research initiatives that benefit the convenience and petroleum retailing industry.
NACS liaison:
Dae Kim (dkim@nacsonline.com)
How to Get Involved
One of the Board's goals is to maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers who have interest and expertise in a particular area. When there are openings on committees, the database will be the resource that the board will turn to.
If you or someone from your company is interested in getting more involved with NACS, please complete the Supplier Member Interest Form (PDF) and return to Seva Raskin at NACS.
If you have any questions, please contact Seva at (703) 518-4226 or sraskin@nacsonline.com.
