On June 23, 2009, President Obama signed into law the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. The Act comprehensively regulates the retail sales of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco, as detailed in the documents and resources below. The bulk of the initial regulations became effective on June 22, 2010.
