The subject of alternative fueling infrastructure is a big issue today, with the predominant question being asked by legislators: Why are not more retailers selling E-85?
While NACS has been active in educating politicians about the hurdles that are slowing adoption of this fuel, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), in conjunction with the Clean Cities Program, has been conducting research to provide both lawmakers and retailers with information that could facilitate a market-driven conversion to this alternative product. NACS is working with NREL on many of these projects. During this session, Caley Johnson from National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and John Eichberger from NACS will be discussing the motivations behind their efforts, present their findings to date, and discuss other projects they are conducting regarding E-85.
