The NACS Human Resources Forum continues to be the premier industry-specific professional program available. Program
The NACS HR Forum has been going strong since 1992 and has come to be a yearly reunion for many of the attendees. Of course, first-time attendees are always welcome! Program attendees actively participate in the program filled with valuable activities, case studies, networking and speakers. Facilitating the program for the past two years is Terry McKenna, founder and principal of Convenience Store Coaches, Inc. and we welcome him back for 2010.

The theme for 2009 was "Redefining the Role of HR in a World of Musical Chairs". It was all about how the role of HR impacts the organization at all levels. A survey to past HR attendees was sent and asked such questions like "What are your 3 greatest challenges?" and "What is the perception of HR within your organization?" From these results, the forum was tailored to what attendees wanted to hear and learn more about.

For 2010, we are asking our HR professionals for their input. Help make the forum, your forum. Sample questions include: What topics/issues would you like to see covered in this year' forum? and What is the biggest challenge you face every day in your job? To have your input on the seminar schedule, please fill out the survey.  As with past HR Forums, there will be a section for employment law/legislative updates, but it will be an expanded role and take place during day 2 as to not interfere with flight travel. Once we have gotten feedback from you all, we will post the more detailed schedule before the end of the year.

New for 2010...we are extending registration to suppliers! There will be no Vendor Walkabout as in past years, but instead, we welcome the HR professionals in the supplier community to join in on the 2 1/2 day seminar.
