NACS, the Association for Convenience and Petroleum Retailing, has an immediate opening for an Industry Analyst. Based in Virginia, this newly created position will play a critical role in developing usable research that will benefit the convenience store and petroleum retailing industry.
Core Responsibilities

Work with NACS retail and supplier members to ensure research initiatives are well designed, clearly communicated, and are consistent with trends in the convenience and petroleum retailing industry.

Design, deploy and deliver insights from surveys.

Organize and maintain data collection and data storage initiatives.

Gain and leverage experience to articulate the NACS point of view to appropriate audiences.
The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

Some experience in analyzing retail, hospitality or financial services operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a business-related field

Strong background in financial and statistical analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning concepts.

Ability to analyze data and understand correlations to other parts of business operations.

Self motivated, able to work independently with limited direction and cooperatively in a team environment.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.

As a key member of the Supplier Relations team, this position is responsible for providing oversight of supplier membership benefits, products, services and building effective relationships with Hunter Club members to fully engage them with NACS.
Core Responsibilities

Develop and administer Hunter Club membership benefits; develop and execute engagement program that maximizes involvement and engagement of Hunter Club companies.

Create customized proposals and presentations for Hunter Club companies, launch strategic visitation plan for key accounts and visit accordingly.

Build and refine value proposition for Hunter Club companies and regular supplier members.

Strategize and assist in execution of recruitment and retention efforts for all supplier members.

Serve as central touch point for Hunter Club companies; be the “go to” person for all interactions and sales.
The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

Candidate should have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of customer relations, membership recruitment experience in a retailing or association environment and a passion for customer service. Strong interpersonal skills – excellent communication and presentation skills a must. Business experience, comfort level to engage in meetings with executives from Fortune 500 companies. Must have a desire to learn and grow and work in a team environment.
