Fusion Jerky Debuts New Size in Response to Consumer Requests

Female-owned company creates smaller packaging size for consumers on the go.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – All-natural meat snack producer, Fusion Jerky, has responded to the customer demand for on-the-go, in-the-purse protein with its new 1-oz. packages. Beginning with its two most popular flavors, Grilled Island Teriyaki Pork and Original Hickory Beef, Fusion Jerky is now convenient for gym bags, office kitchens and anyone on the go.

"Many of our customers are women, and they wanted a jerky that was high protein with a clean ingredient list that they could keep in their purse or grab-and-go after Pilates," said KaiYen Mai, Fusion Jerky CEO. "So we listened, and we created a 1-oz. single-serving package that wasn't covered in beards and hatchets."

Fusion says it has found success with reaching the young, female jerky consumers—50% of jerky consumers are female—that the rest of the industry has ignored for years.

Creating a nourishing snack has been KaiYen and Fusion's mission from the start. Made in the USA, the hand-crafted artisanal jerky is made in small batches with premium U.S. meat, using extra-lean whole muscle cuts and herbs and custom-blended spices, to offer 11 grams of protein and a 96% fat-free snack.
