Best Practices for Loss Prevention

Annual conference highlights networking and education for safety and loss prevention professionals.

December 18, 2014

NEW ORLEANS – Loss prevention (LP) is a major issue for professionals in our industry, across all store types, sizes and regions. The Loss Prevention Industry Professionals Association (LPIPA) was founded as a resource for education and networking for LP, safety and security  professionals in the convenience and fuel retailing industry. LPIPA holds an annual conference, providing a valuable opportunity for professionals to connect, face-to-face, in order to share best practices and get insight on the latest industry developments.

The LPIPA 7th Annual Conference and Vendor Showcase will take place at the Four Points by Sheraton-French Quarter in New Orleans on March 2 – 5, 2015. The conference will include three “round robin” breakout sessions allowing attendees to share best practices and concerns addressing safety, security and loss prevention. Three industry professionals will provide speaker-led sessions addressing specific topics within these three disciplines, in addition to the event's half-day vendor showcase, and a variety of social and team-building events.

For the first time this year, LPIPA is offering NACS Daily readers a $100 discount on the registration fee of $675 (for companies attending the LPIPA conference for the first time, one per company while supplies last), for registrations received by January 30. Registration includes three night's accommodation, breakfasts and lunches, and the Grand Finale dinner. For more information on the conference and how to register, visit www.lpipagroup.com or email tonia@lpipagroup.com.

In addition, NACS offers Robbery Deterrence training materials in CD and DVD formats as well as decals and checklists for stores. To learn more, visit NACS Online.
