GREENVILLE, S.C. – During October, Spinx stores and Stewart Spinks, founder and chairman of the board of The Spinx Company, collectively raised $168,863.54 for the American Cancer Society. Spinks presented the check to Kelly Jamerson, corporate relations manager for the American Cancer Society, on November 27.

All 80 of Spinx convenience stores in South Carolina contributed to the donation. Spinks, a cancer survivor himself, matched the donations raised in the top five Spinx stores that had the highest percentage of customers donate.

“As a cancer survivor myself, I know the impactful work the American Cancer Society accomplishes each day,” Spinks said in a press release. “I am incredibly thankful to our generous customers and their donations, as well as the American Cancer Society and their fight against cancer.”

Spinx is excited to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. The money raised will contribute to the American Cancer Society’s efforts in education, treatment and research to discover more successful treatments, and ultimately a cure for cancer.

“All of us at the American Cancer Society, are grateful for this generous donation,” Jamerson said. “This money will help us provide treatment and support for cancer patients throughout South Carolina, and, benefit critical cancer research!”
