WASHINGTON – Earlier this week, NGVAmerica (NGVA), the Washington, DC-based trade association for the natural gas vehicle (NGV) sector, launched a new Web-based map of the nation's NGV fueling stations.

Called the NGVAmerica Station Analysis Map, its creators are calling it a "unique tool" that outlines the locations of compressed natural gas (CNG) and/or liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling locations, noting stations in ranges of 100-, 400- and 600-mile ranges. The site’s map will be updated monthly.

In addition to the range data, the NGVA map system features what it called the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on CNG and LNG fueling infrastructure, including station locations, accessibility and contact information derived from the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center.

The map is designed for use by both fleet operators and general consumers in making route and travel planning. NGVA President Matt Godlewski called the new map "an important addition to our online resources," noting it is designed to promote the use of natural gas across all transportation sectors.
