Alexandria, Va. – The NACS reFresh initiative references what retailers regularly do: refresh their stores with new designs or new product offers. It also references what convenience stores do: They make a difference in their communities and they refresh busy consumers seeking a quick drink, snack, meal or fill up.

When NACS refresh surveyed consumers recently, of those who said they didn’t want a convenience store in their community, more than half of them (54%) cited litter and trash concerns. A majority of individuals also indicate that they want to recycle, but knowing what and where to recycle is not always as straight forward as it can be. Keep America Beautiful has made it easy for you to participate on America Recycles Day on November 15.  

One simple activity c-stores can do is to host an electronics recycling event in stores.
