NACS Show General Session speaker talks about how we can all make a difference in the latest Convenience Matters podcast.

November 01, 2016

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Everyone at the NACS Show was talking about the energy of the NACS Show general session presenters this year. So it only makes sense that NACS talked—one on one—to one of these speakers, Steve Gross, founder and chief playmaker of the Life is Good Playmakers foundation, in the latest Convenience Matters podcast.

As Steve noted during his standing-room only presentation before more than 3,000 NACS Show attendees on October 19, everyone can make a difference in life—it’s just a matter of looking at our inner optimist. At the heart of his work, Steve helps others discover the power of optimism so that they can build resilience and bring greater joy, connection, courage and creativity to their lives.

In the “Life Is Good” podcast (episode #40), co-hosts Carolyn Schnare, NACS director of strategic initiatives; and Stephanie Sikorski, director of the NACS Foundation and mission marketing, talked to Steve about the themes he covered in his presentation, as well as new ideas.

“Talk about a high-energy speaker and interviewee,” said Schnare. “If you missed his presentation, you’ll want to hear some of the themes he covered. And if you liked his NACS Show presentation, you’ll love the podcast because we cover plenty of new ground.”

The program can be downloaded for free on iTunes by searching for “Convenience Matters.” It is also available at nacsonline.com/podcasts.

A new Convenience Matters podcast is released every week, focusing on topics related to convenience stores. The program has been downloaded in more than 40 countries since its debut in February 2016.
