YORK, Pa. – Beginning Thursday, October 20, and running through January 2017, customers will be able to enjoy Kunzler’s Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dogs exclusively in the Rutter’s marketplace.

Rutter’s, headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, will be the first in the country to sell the new Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog from Kunzler. The hot dog is wrapped in bacon and stuffed with both cheddar cheese and cracked black pepper. Rutter’s will be displaying these on their roller grill, which means it will be available at all of their 65 locations.

“Our Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog has been three years in the making,” said Ryan Krebs, director of food services. “We are extremely pleased to have joined with Kunzler, a long-time, local partner, for this great opportunity. We pride ourselves with being first-to-market, while providing our customers with high quality food choices they can’t find anywhere else.”

With roots dating back to 1747, Rutter’s 269-year history makes it the oldest vertically integrated food company in the United States. The company is currently guided by the family’s third generation of leadership.
