BUTTE, Mont. – Montana convenience retailer Town Pump is collecting donations ahead of the upcoming holiday season for the community food bank.

The Cut Bank Pioneer Press reports that donations for this year’s Town Pump Food Campaign are being accepted at all Town Pump convenience stores, restaurants, hotels and casinos through November.

“This fundraising is important for our food bank because they need more than just food to keep running,” explained Town Pump Manager Connie Bach. “The money we raise, through November 30, is not only used for food, but for electricity, water, rent or whatever costs are incurred to operate.”

“The money we raise will stay local,” Bach told the news source. “It is amazing the generosity we see around this time of year. People who are just passing through to the people who live in this community never seem to hesitate to help out.”
