LONDON – The Telegraph reports that McDonald's in Germany is planning to serve a 100% organic burger in a bid to overhaul its image and transform the QSR into a "modern, progressive burger company.”

The limited-time McB burger, made with beef sourced from organic farms in Germany and Austria, will be available October 1 to November 18. The organic beef patty is served with a sunflower seed bun, arugula, Maasdam cheese, red onion, tomato and a spicy sauce.

Holger Beeck, CEO of McDonald's Germany, said in a press statement, "We have made a great effort to secure sufficient quantities of meat which satisfies the organic requirements and our own quality claims."

McDonald’s will also start sourcing potatoes from British farmers only, as the QSR seeks to attract more customers who are conscious about where their food comes from.
