CINCINNATI – A new startup company hopes adults never have to go on a beer run again.

Drinkos, which launched on Sept. 13, is currently operating in Cincinnati and is delivering “beer, wine and liquor — or cigars, ice or anything available in most convenience or liquor stores” to customers within 45 minutes of placing their online order, reports the Cincinnati Business Courier.

“We had already established relationships with store owners at the time when we started the company, so we wanted to go ahead and see if it would work,” founder Ephrem Lijalem told the newspaper. “Cincinnati is a little smaller (than Chicago), so it’s easier to test market.” Drinkos is currently operating in Cincinnati with six partner liquor stores, but it has plans for a nationwide launch.

“Drinkos is the natural evolution of delivery services, no longer does the party have to be put on hold while the beer is restocked. Poker games will never be interrupted again. And the service is great for office happy hours when everyone wants to cut loose after a long work week,” according to a press release. “Drinkos makes ordering beer, wine or liquor even easier than ordering a pizza and we guarantee to get it there in 45 minutes or less.”

In addition to beverages, Drinkos will deliver cigars, cigarettes, ice, chips or other snacks. “Virtually anything that can be bought in a convenience store can also be ordered through Drinkos.com,” notes the company.

Users can place their orders at Drinkos.com, where IDs are required at the time of ordering and at the time of delivery to verify legal drinking age. Customer IDs are scanned using a third-party ID verification system. A nominal delivery charge applies to each order.
