NEW YORK CITY – Bantam Bagels, an NYC-based bagel bakery, can now be found in more than 8,000 new points of distribution, including Starbucks, QFC, Fred Meyer and many Kroger locations.

Different than any other New York bagel, these bite-sized wonders, known as “Bantams,” come stuffed with cream cheese already inside. Since opening their shop on Manhattan’s Bleecker Street, Bantam Bagels have become an NYC staple.

The owners and founders of the bagel shop, husband and wife Nick and Elyse Oleksak, appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank with their business concept. After testing Bantam Bagels in select Starbucks locations, the company launched in the more than 7,000 company-operated locations across the United States.

“Starbucks is committed to supporting local entrepreneurs, and has supported our efforts to grow and develop our brand. We are proud to provide customers with a unique, quality product in Starbucks locations,” said Elyse Oleksak.

Starting next month, frozen boxes of Bantam Bagels can be found in more than 600 grocery stores, such as Kroger stores in Ohio and Michigan; QFC and Fred Meyer in the Pacific Northwest; Safeway stores in California, the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii; and in a number of independent grocery stores in New York, Connecticut and New England.
