YORK, PA - Loyal Rutter??s customer Arthur Bankert is the sixth winner in the company??s Fuel Up Free sweepstakes, which is awarding a year??s worth of free gasoline to eight lucky customers.

"I stop in for a cup of coffee almost every morning, and some mornings I meet a few people at the store to sit and talk," Bankert said.

The sweepstakes involves customers scanning their Rutter??s Rewards loyalty cards when they make a purchase from a designated list of qualified items.

The Rutter??s Rewards loyalty program began in October of 2009. Nearly 1,600 items at the company??s 56 stores carries a rewards value, which ranges from 1 cent to 10 cents per gallon. Each time a customer purchases one of those items, he receives a net reward in cash savings on a purchase of up to 20 gallons of gas. Rewards are redeemable immediately and valid up to 60 days from the date it is earned.

Two more customers will win a year??s supply of free gasoline in the sweepstakes, which ends at the end of September.

Earlier this week, Rutter??s also announced its July winners in its Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes, who were awarded a 3-pack of Sloppy Joe sliders, new to the menu this month at Rutter??s.

"We??ve gotten extremely positive customer responses to our new Sloppy Joe sandwiches, we thought it??d be a great way to reward our loyal customers," said Vice President of Food Service Jerry Weiner.

Winners for the monthly contest are drawn from a pool of customers who scanner their registered Rutter??s Rewards card.
