ATLANTA - As one of its first nationwide marketing efforts for its Freestyle fountain machine, Coca-Cola has launched a Facebook-activated app that simulates consumer interactivity, Marketing Daily reports.

Coke€™s Freestyle machine, which dispenses up to 125 soft drink flavors, is currently available in more than 1,000 locations in 60 markets across 33 states. Coke said the machines have boosted drink sales as well as overall sales for restaurants.

Created with digital agency 360i, the app is designed to familiarize customers with how the Freestyle machine works prior to experiencing it in person.

Coke is making the app available via the machine€™s Facebook page. It is one of several marketing plans being rolled out as Freestyle begins mass distribution in key U.S. markets. The machines are scheduled to reach 80 U.S. markets by year€™s end.
