Dunkin’ Donuts Unveils Belgian Waffle Sandwich

On National Waffle Day, Dunkin’ announced its new Belgian Waffle breakfast sandwich.

CANTON, Mass. – On August 24, also known as National Waffle Day, Dunkin' Donuts unveiled its newest breakfast sandwich offer, the Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich. Available nationwide on Monday, August 29, the new breakfast sandwich features Cherrywood smoked bacon, egg and American cheese served between two Belgian Waffles.

As part of its National Waffle Day celebration, Dunkin' Donuts also launched a new mobile game with chances to win breakfast sandwiches well into next year.

According to Jeff Miller, executive chef and vice president of product innovation at Dunkin' Brands, "Belgian waffles are a beloved breakfast choice, and one that is typically saved for a sit-down meal. With our new Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich, we are able to make the taste of this traditional favorite available on-the-go, any time of day for our guests who look to Dunkin' Donuts for a variety of new and innovative breakfast options."

Meanwhile, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s also launched a new breakfast sandwich offer this week, the Steak, Egg & Cheese Biscuit made with grilled steak, egg and Swiss cheese. The sandwich is also offered on a warm flour tortilla with salsa.
