IRVING, TX - Promoting the unveiling as "just in time for back to school," Hostess announced earlier this week a new line of on-the-go muffins.

Available in blueberry, banana nut and chocolate chip varieties, the whole grain muffins contain real fruit, chocolate, and nuts, each stoked with a "good source of fiber" and a svelte 150 calories.

"Hostess has been producing delicious baked goods for generations," said Mike Touhey, vice president of snack marketing at Hostess Brands. "As consumers continue to look for convenient breakfast and snack options to start their days off right ?" especially families stretched for time as they start the new school year ?" Hostess' new line of muffins delivers the great taste and convenience that consumers expect from Hostess with additional nutritional benefits."

The muffins are available nationwide in a 10.5-ounce package that includes six individually wrapped muffins.
