Gulf Oil Enters Georgia Market

The new branded agreement with Mountain Express Oil Company will bring back a Gulf Oil-branded station to Georgia for the first time in 20 years.

WOODSTOCK, GA and FRAMINGHAM, MA - Gulf Oil announced a branded partnership agreement with Mountain Express Oil Company in Woodstock, Georgia. Drivers will soon see more than two-dozen Gulf motor fuel retail outlets throughout the Northern region of the state and Southwest South Carolina.

This is the first time in 20 years that a Gulf Oil-branded gas station has operated in Georgia.

"Within the next 15 months we will rebrand 30 outlets to the Gulf Brand," said Barry Bierenbaum, president of Mountain Express Oil Company. "Gulf is a company that??s committed to its distributors and retail customers, and we are proud to welcome the Gulf brand to our family. The enthusiasm displayed by the Gulf employees and our future Gulf customers and retailers made this a very easy decision."

Earlier this year Gulf signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Major League Baseball??s Atlanta Braves. Baseball fans will notice the Gulf "Sunrise" logo displayed behind home plate during all home games at Turner Field.
