EDINBURGH, Ind. – Ricker’s convenience stores recently opened a new location in Edinburgh, Indiana, one of five flagship stores the convenience store chain has opened this year.

“This store follows the new flagship design of the Ricker’s brand,” said Quinn Ricker, president and CEO, of Anderson, Indiana-based Ricker’s. “Quality food and drink offerings in convenience stores are the future of our industry.”

In addition to its sleek new design, the store features a variety of products that break the mold of the typical convenience store. The store offers fresh “bean to cup” gourmet coffee, cappuccino, iced coffee and frappes, along with several different flavor syrups and creamers. All machines employ reverse-osmosis water filtration. There is also a selection of wine priced lower than most liquor stores.

This location is also home to Ricker’s own brand of fast and fresh Mexican cuisine. “We are proud to offer such a fresh, high-quality and affordable product that is also unique to the Ricker’s brand,” said Ricker. “We prepare all food items fresh, in-store and made to order. Kiosks are in place to allow each order to be customized to the individual’s liking.”

Additionally, the new Edinburgh store will carry its own brand of frozen yogurt. Ricker’s self-serve frozen yogurt is available in a variety of flavors and topping combinations. Beside the numerous food and drink offerings, the new Edinburgh location still values its gasoline as a high priority. The new store provides Lucas Oil additives in their premium and diesel fuels to increase power and fuel mileage and lower exhaust emissions. It also has a tax exempt diesel island for trucks to refuel.

Ricker’s was founded in 1979 by Jay and Nancy Ricker and 10 years later, they purchased the company’s first convenience store. Since its inception, the family-owned business has grown to include more than 52 high-end convenience stores, with more than 700 employees.
