TONAWANDA, N.Y. – Customers and employees from NOCO Express Stores recently donated just over $12,000 to support the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County and several other United Ways in the region, according to a company press release.

The funds were raised at the stores throughout May, when donations of $1, $3 or $5 were collected at all 35 NOCO Express Stores through a paper t-shirt pin up campaign.

“This was the first month-long United Way campaign conducted at our NOCO Express Stores and our customers and associates gave generously. As a family-owned and locally operated company, we are committed to supporting organizations like the United Way in assisting those in need throughout Western New York,” said Michael Newman, executive vice president.

"The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County is most appreciative of the recent support provided by the NOCO leadership in making available this first ever "pin up scanning" program at their local stores,” said Michael Weiner, president & CEO of United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.  “And because of the generosity of NOCO customers and their associates, United Way has a supplemental funding stream that goes back into the community in support of quality of life issues for individuals most in need."
