AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - Subway, New Zealand??s largest quick service restaurant chain, announced plans to bring 19 new Subway restaurants to Mobil On the Run convenience stores by Christmas of this year.

In a press release, Subway Development Agent Mark Hawes said that he hopes the partnership will drive customers to both Subway restaurants and Mobil, providing numerous benefits for both companies and their customers. ??

"The addition of a Subway restaurant to a Mobil On the Run site will turn it into a super convenience complex," said Hawes "Historically fuel sales increase when a petrol station has a convenience store attached and it??s easy to see why ?" customers can grab petrol, grab lunch, get a car wash and pick up some washing powder at the one location."

"In this day and age we are all pretty time poor," says Simon Parham, Mobil convenience retail manager. "This is a truly convenient option for our Auckland customers and is an exciting option for both Mobil and Subway."

The first Subway restaurants inside Mobil On the Run stores are scheduled to open later this month at Mobil K-Rd (Auckland Central), Mobil Royal Heights (Massey) and Mobil Oteha Valley Rd (Albany).

Auckland has seen a notable increase in new Subway restaurants with seven opening in the past five months.
