DUBLIN, IRELAND - Topaz Energy Group Limited has emerged as 14 among the top 25 Best Large Workplaces in Europe.

Best Workplaces sets out to recognize the finest employers and therefore the most satisfied workforces in Europe. With more than 1,380companies representing 1.5 million employees, it is the largest employment survey of its type.

Frank Gleeson, retail director at Topaz, said that everyone at the company is delighted to be recognized on a European stage. He added that Topaz tries to emulate the successful employee retention and appreciation of retailers like QuikTrip and Sheetz in the United States. "One of things that I have learned through my involvement in NACS is that a happy staff make happy customers and better profitability," Gleeson said.

"We are thrilled with the latest award. This is a huge achievement for a young Irish company like Topaz, especially when you look at the quality of the companies we were up against. The fact that we were the only dedicated fuels and convenience retailer on the list is also hugely satisfying. It??s a huge vote of confidence by our employees, who provide excellent service to our customers on a daily basis" Gleeson added.

"Our employees are our greatest resource and by working in partnership with them we are able to maintain the vibrancy and dynamism which will drive us forward to further success" Gleeson concluded.

Other Irish companies on the list included, EMC, Bright Horizons, Boots and Unicare. The latest success for Topaz follows the company recording its highest ever position, 7th, in a list of Best Large Workplaces in Ireland earlier this year.

Gleeson serves on the NACS International Committee, NACS Board of Directors and served as chairman of the NACS/Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council.
