Ticketing Good Behavior

Mac's Convenience Stores team up with local police to give Canadian youngsters a coupon for contributing to society in a good way.

TORONTO - This summer, the Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police will be handing out more than tickets ?" they will be rewarding young people for a job well done, the Intelligencer reports. Mac??s Convenience Stores developed "Operation Freeze" to "ticket" good behavior.

"Partnering with local business and engaging our youth only makes our community stronger," said Central Hastings Staff Sgt. Peter Valiquette.

Throughout Ontario, participating police departments will hand out coupons good for a free Froster at any Mac??s Convenience Stores. Mac??s will be giving out 25,000 coupons to Central Canadian police services wherever Mac??s has stores.

When officers see young people doing something positive, such as volunteering, obeying safety regulations or discouraging crime, they will hand out "tickets." The program starts now and will continue through the summer.
