YORK, Pa. - Rutter??s reached the top in the 2012 Best of York contest. Voted on by readers of the York Daily Record, Rutter??s again placed first in "Best Milk" and "Best Quick Service Lunch."

Rutter??s also placed second in the "Best Quick Service Breakfast" category and third among voters in the "Best Coffee" category. Rutter??s was the only convenience store chain to win any of the contest categories.

"We try to be the best for our customers every day, and it??s a great feeling to know they??ve voted us in as the best in so many categories," said Jerry Weiner, vice president of foodservice for Rutter??s, in a press release.

The most recent additions to the ever-expanding Rutter??s quick service menu include macaroni and cheese, snack wraps, soft shell taco and the one-of-a-kind, York County favorite, the walking taco.

The retailer announced yesterday new menu items. Steak chips are made fresh to order from thick-cut potatoes and served in a 2.5 oz bag. Customers can choose from four seasonings: garlic seasoning, steak seasoning, sea salt seasoning or Old Bay. Customers can also opt to have nacho cheese, marinara sauce, ranch and ketchup included for dipping. Bags of steak-seasoned chips will also be available for grab-and-go purchase.?? ??

Also new to the menu are quesadillas that come with a shredded cheese blend. Customers can choose between chicken and steak, then add diced tomatoes, black olives, onions, jalapeno peppers, sweet peppers and hot peppers. Each quesadilla order comes with a cup of salsa on the side, and for a few cents more customers can add sour cream.
