MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN - AIR-serv, a provider of tire inflation and vacuum services with 65,000 locations, has pledged to contribute $500,000 over five years to Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit that annually saves the lives of millions of severely malnourished children in nearly 70 nations. The company announced its new program, AIR for Charity, which will be funded through portions of revenues generated at its AIR-serv air-machines.

"AIR for Charity not only does a tremendous amount of good, [i]t also builds goodwill among customers of convenience stores who see our retail partners supporting such a worthwhile charitable program," said Andy Carr, executive vice president of AIR-serv, in a press release. "And, just like our tire inflation programs, AIR for Charity costs retailers nothing. The funds will come from our share of AIR-serv air-machine revenues."

The company said that AIR for Charity also is expected to increase new and return visits and store traffic for convenience retailers.

"AIR-serv??s innovative AIR for Charity initiative will not only help fund our food programs, it will also alert thousands of drivers to our work, regularly remind them of the need, and make it easier for them to know they??re contributing to a better world," said aid Mark Crea, Feed My Starving Children??s executive director.
