SANTA FE, NM - Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company (SFNTC), on behalf of its SFNTC-Japan affiliate in Tokyo, has donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan.

"We are deeply concerned for our colleagues and their families, as well as the thousands of people who have been affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami," said Nick Bumbacco, SFNTC??s president and CEO. "We??ve sent care packages, but wanted to do something that will have a broader impact in this very dark time of need."

To help the Red Cross continue to save lives locally, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Local Disaster Relief Fund by calling (800) 560-2302.
